This tool calculates the Prepared Expected Cost to successfully enhance your equipment's Grade (Lv 5 Weapons / Lv 2 Armors) on MuhRO.
1. Current Refine Level
Your equipment must meet a minimum refine requirement to be graded (+9 for Grade D, +10 for Grade C, +11 for Grades B & A). Grading your item while it is at +16 or higher grants an invisible +10% bonus to success rates and returns extra Blessed Etel Dust if you fail!
2. The Three Strategies
- Safe Method: You feed the NPC a massive multiplier of materials (usually 5x to 10x). If the grade fails, your equipment survives safely, but the materials are lost.
- Guaranteed Method: You use the standard 1x materials, but you additionally inject enough Blessed Etel Dust (1000337) to force a 100% success rate. The item will never break.
- Risky Method: You use standard 1x materials without forcing 100%. If you fail, your item will be permanently destroyed. The calculator will estimate how many duplicated Base Gears you need to sacrifice to eventually succeed.
3. Real Preparation Math
Unlike standard math that calculates fraction values (e.g. 3.33 attempts), this calculator utilizes Discrete Attempt Rounding. If the math says you need 3.33 attempts to succeed on average, the calculator will instruct you to bring exactly enough materials and Zeny to perform 4 whole attempts so you don't run out halfway through!
4. Market Price Comparison
By checking the comparison box, you can input current market prices. The calculator will automatically pit the Crafting Strategy against the Direct Buy Strategy and highlight the cheapest option in green!
